Pink Piggy Closes in East Grand Rapids, New Restaurant Moves In

Jyoti’s Kitchen opened last Friday at 2230 Wealthy Street SE in East Grand Rapids. The new restaurant is taking over the former site of Asian eatery and Boba shop, Pink Piggy, which closed in early February.

After a month of renovations, Jyoti's Kitchen is ready to welcome diners, and fans of the previous Boba offerings will be glad to know those drinks are still available!

Owners Jyoti and her team bring five years of experience running a popular pickup-only supper club. Their new full-service restaurant delivers authentic Indian flavors in a cozy, welcoming setting.

Jyoti's Kitchen Menu

The restaurant launched with a limited menu featuring some of its most-loved dishes. Guests can start with Vegetable Pakoras, crispy chickpea fritters made with potato, cauliflower, and spinach. Plant-based diners can also enjoy Channa Masala, chickpeas simmered in a flavorful onion and tomato gravy.

Classic favorites are also on the menu, including Butter Chicken and Saag Paneer, with paneer cooked in a creamy spinach sauce and roasted in tomato gravy. Another option, Nawabi Chicken, features creamy roasted chicken served with cucumber and onion slices. All menu items are gluten-free, and some are prepared dairy-free, making the offerings accessible to a variety of dietary preferences.

Jyoti’s Kitchen is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., offering dine-in, takeout, and delivery.
