Experience Virtual Golf And More At New Bar and Restaurant Coming to Downtown Grand Rapids
A new option for entertainment, drinks, and food is coming to downtown Grand Rapids!
Ever since Davenport University moved out of 45 Ottawa Ave. NW back in 2019, which is next to our radio stations, I wondered what would be moving in. It's such a prime spot downtown Grand Rapids, it's been a bummer to see it sit empty.
Well, something cool is moving in!
Crain's Grand Rapids reports that Rockford Construction is renovating the vacant building that will become a bar and restaurant called Gimme's Par and Grill.
The first floor will seat about 150 people and have two golf simulators. The second floor is lounge area that will have seven golf simulators. In total, the building will be able to accommodate 350 people.
Guests can bring their own golf clubs, or Gimme's will also have loaners.
In addition to golf, the simulators will have other virtual play options like soccer, tennis and zombie dodgeball.
While Gimme's will host leagues and private events, the owners say the main focus will be date nights and family nights out.
Sam Stover, a partner and director of operations for Gimme’s Par and Grill tells Crain's Grand Rapids,
We’re really excited about the opportunity to be right in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids. I think it’s going to bring more people downtown to socialize, have fun and utilize the space and continue to have that ‘eater-tainment’ atmosphere, which is a lot of fun.
Gimme's Par and Grill is expected to open in fall of 2024.
