Two of my kids just started swimming lessons this week.

They've had group lessons in the past, with only a limited amount of success.

We're trying one-on-one lessons this time and hoping for better results.

What worked for you?  How did your kids learn to swim?

The group lessons they took were once a week, for about an hour, for multiple weeks.  The one-on-one class is only 15 minutes a day for five consecutive days.

The one-on-one attention would be good for anyone learning just about anything.  Not sure if the daily schedule is good because it allows to build each day while the lessons are fresh, or if it's bad because it doesn't allow for much practice in between lessons.

Hoping for good results this time.  Of course, there's always the "throw them in and they'll learn" method of teaching.  We decided against that one.
