Grand Rapids Remodeling and New Homes Show at DeVos Place This Weekend

Our area's newest consumer show opens with a bang at DeVos Place this week, as the Grand Rapids Remodeling and New Homes Show welcomes, not only wonderful displays, but an amazing line-up of talent to its seminar stages.

Headling the show's Build-It Stage is Kevin O'Connor, Emmy-nominated host of PBS's This Old House. Kevin has been appearing as host of the Emmy Award-winning series, and the Emmy-nominated series, Ask This Old House, since 2003.

Kevin also serves on the editorial board of This Old House magazine, and, along with Amy Matthews, Kevin is the host of This New House, which premiered on the DIY Network in the summer of 2010.

Another familiar television host headlines the show's Design-It Stage, when HGTV's Cari Cucksey leads seminars on creative Repurposing, the hugely popular trend of giving new lives to old objects. A Michigan native, Cari gained national fame as host of the HGTV hit show Cash & Cari. When she's not on TV, Cucksey runs RePurpose Estate Services and operates The RePurpose Shop out of Westland Michigan.
