GR Police Examining ‘Suspicious Device’ Found On Bridge
Police shut down the Sixth Street Bridge after 8:00pm Thursday night after a fisherman reported seeing a suspicious device on the structure.
The bridge was reopened after 11:00pm Thursday after police removed the device, which they have taken to a safe place to examine.
A Grand Rapids Police lieutenant told FOX 17 the device was going to be X-Rayed to determine exactly what it is.
It's probably nothing, but why would someone attempt to hurt the Sixth Street Bridge? It's main job is provide safe passage for Creston residents to the West Side bars.
