Fatal Multi-Car Crash Closes Northbound 131

Folks driving north out of Grand Rapids on US-131 were halted Thursday morning following the closure of the freeway due to a fatal mutli-car crash.

The northbound lanes of 131 were shut down at West River Drive between 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Thursday. The freeway has not reopened as of the writing of this article.

WZZM-13 reports that three vehicles were involved in the crash and that one person was killed.
