We have some nice weather beginning today through the Memorial weekend here in West Michigan so take some time to enjoy the sunshine.

After being locked down for two months and as businesses begin reopening, people are starting to get more mobile and move about our local communities.

I really hope people are not in too much of a rush to get everything back to normal because the coronavirus is still out there and not going away anytime soon. So if you are out, continue to be safe and practice all social distancing and wear a mask when coming in contact with others.

That being said, take your time and ease into some sort of normalcy but make sure along the way to keep enjoying the simple things in life.

I have noticed myself I am looking at nature more closely than before. My son and I have seen a variety of birds nests, duck nests and even found a turkey nest. No we didn't disturb anything but it sure was enjoyable especially watching the joy it brought my young son.

If I see flowers, I take a closer look and even take the time to smell them from time to time. It doesn't solve all the problems the world has but at that moment it brings me joy and I hope you are able to find those moments of joy.

We have a lot of nice weather a head of us this week but there is some possible rain over the weekend as well. So enjoy the sunshine as much as you can, you will feel better. Just how clear the blue sky has been today has brought me some positive feelings.

Its that time of year we are finally warming up for the next 3 or 4 months and I know how easy it is to get caught up in all the things that need to be done around the house. Just leave some room to enjoy this great state we have and this weather we have in front of us.

Even thought I have been working, I'm in isolation at home and at work so I look forward to this weekend with my son being outside and enjoying as much as we possibly can. I hope you are able to do the same.

No matter what you are doing, please be safe and my son and I will do the same.
