Don’t Fall for this Fake GRCC Scam, Say School Officials

Grand Rapids Community College is warning residents not to fall for a scam involving donations.

They posted on Facebook over the weekend that someone is posing as a representative of GRCC and asking for donations towards scholarships, specifically the Broader Vision capital campaign.

A woman was approached by someone going door-to-door and alerted the school. They stress "The GRCC Foundation does not ask for donations in such a manner. "

Fox 17 says the scammer was targeting the East G.R. neighborhood.
