If you're a coffee drinker, you probably know what the words "Tall", "Grande" and "Venti" have in common, and unless you're a staunch mooch, you also know the pain in the wallet that accompanies your beverage of choice.

Sadly, coffee prices are on the rise once again.

As mentioned in this Reuters story, Starbucks raised the prices of some of their cafe beverages last year. On Friday, the bagged coffee went up by an average of about 12 percent.

This increase comes in the shadow of even larger cumulative increases from other coffee companies. Some of the reasons for these climbing prices are explored in a MarketWatch story, posted yesteday.

On the bright side, the weather is nicer now and many of us will be drinking fewer cups of Joe and other warm beverages anyway, but we'll keep watching.
