This year marks the 25th anniversary of one of the biggest franchises in the world and they are going all out to celebrate with star studded performances throughout the year.

The super popular franchise of Pokémon is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the launch of their original games, Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue (or Pokémon Green in Japan) on the Nintendo Gameboy.

Kicking off the celebration this Saturday, February 26th at 7pm is a virtual concert from Post Malone that you can stream on YouTube, Twitch, or 25.pokemon.com.  The concert will be 100% family friendly because it's Pokémon, so you don't have to worry about Post Malone playing any of his naughtier songs.

Pokémon also said that they have some special announcements during the virtual concert. “It’s going to be a wild celebration of Pokémon’s 25 years, with lots of unexpected surprises in store.  Make sure you stay tuned at the end of the concert for more thrilling P25 Music announcements!”

The Post Malone virtual concert is just the first of several musical events to celebrate the 25th anniversary.  Later on this year, Katy Perry will be participating in the anniversary with a brand new song made specifically for the 25th anniversary of Pokémon.
