Bonnie Tyler To Sing ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ During Solar Eclipse
News that'll surely leave you beaming — '80s icon Bonnie Tyler will sing her enduring pop-rock hit "Total Eclipse of the Heart" during the looming solar eclipse in a move that will surely leave the cosmos shook.
According to Time, Tyler — with the help of DNCE as backing band — will belt out the hit aboard Royal Caribbean's Total Eclipse Cruise on August 21. And while cruise ships have been reduced to glorified vomit repositories in recent years, Tyler says she's not concerned about getting sea sick.
"I go with the flow, darling. I’m not worried about things like that," she said.
“It’s going to be so exciting. It doesn’t happen very often, does it?" she added. “The eclipse of the sun lasts two minutes and 40 seconds, I’m told. Unlike my song. It had to be chopped about because it was so long. I never thought it would be played on the radio, in the beginning.”
