Sunday, April 29th, I will be hosting the Autism Support of Kent County Walkathon at Kuiper College noon-3pm!  It's a fun time and there are always some pretty amazing auction items that you can bid on.  In the past they have included getaways to Chicago, the John Ball Zoo, spa visits, massages, gift cards to local restaurants and salons, Whitecaps tickets, Tigers tickets, plus lots of office and business items, too.

Also included are games and some new and innovative treatments for children who have been diagnosed with Autism and Asperger's syndrome.

Well, good news for parents of children with Autism and Asperger's syndrome.  Legislation that will require insurance companies to offer coverage for autism treatments has been signed into Michigan law.  Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley signed the measure on Wednesday as Gov. Rick Snyder is visiting Afghanistan this week.  Lawmakers gave final legislative approval to the measure last month.
Previous efforts to mandate insurance coverage for autism have failed in Michigan in the past.
To join me and so many others for the Autism Support of Kent County Walkathon on April 29th at Kuiper College, or maybe you'd just like to swing by and bid on some really cool silent auction items get more information at the ASK website.
