Grand Rapids Symphony returns to ArtPrize with new, cutting-edge music by four young composers competing in the $500,000 exhibition and competition.

Best of all, all of the mini-concerts are free at The Morton, 55 Ionia Ave. NW, during the 10th anniversary ArtPrize.

They began last night, Friday, and continue today, Saturday, September 29, as guest conductor Jacomo Bairos returns to lead the Grand Rapids Symphony in Danza Ritual by Emmanuel Berrido, Zarathustra Mixtape by Tyler Eschendal, Remembrancesby Jiyoung Ko, and Blowing Mad Clouds by Daniel Leo.

Conductor Jacomo Bairos was a guest on my Friday morning radio show, "Andy in the Morning," to promote the concerts.
