West Michigan is saying goodbye to another restaurant.

Balinski's Polish-American Restaurant in Comstock Park has announced it is closing for good August 29.

In post to Facebook, Balinski's thanks the community for embracing the restaurant and reveals a reason behind the closing:

While we would love to see Balinskis flourish and thrive for years to come, we simply must move on to better care for what started this business in the first place...family."

The restaurant, at 4255 Alpine Suite D in Comstock Park, opened in June of 2017, WZZM-13 reports.

Balinski's specialized in authentic, homemade Polish dishes like peirogies, kielbasa, and golumpki, along with Polish-American fusion dishes.

Pretty bummed about this! My husband Charlie's family is Polish and he LOVES authentic cuisine. So we tried out Balinksi's in the winter. So. Good.

Other restaurants West Michigan has lost this year include IRON, Romano's Macaroni Grill, and Mangiamo!, Shawmut Inn, and Kobe Japanese Steak House.
