Joining the recently closed Rinaldi's Pizza and DiPiazza's Pizzeria, Mitten Pizza in Gun Lake has closed.

Mitten Pizza  shared the news to Facebook, saying,

It’s with a heavy heart we are officially announcing that 4/26/21 will be our last day of operations in Gun Lake.
Over the past 5 years Mitten Pizza has poured our heart and soul into pizza and this amazing community.
The love and support this community has shown us over the last half a decade will never be forgotten, nor has it ever gone unappreciated, however...the next chapter awaits us.

A favorite in the Gun Lake Community, the restaurant was known for its specialty pies like crab pizza and pickle pizza.

You may remember hearing about Mitten Pizza back in 2019 when they received a  massive electric bill totaling $19,795.75 -- The community stepped up to support the Gun Lake eatery and eventually the matter was resolved with the electric company.

>Mitten Pizza says they are "handing over the reigns" to a company they say has  "the same core values and will also bring more value to the community": The soon-to-open Gun Lake Pit Stop, which will offer pizza and subs, plus a convenience store that sells beer and win. Gun Lake Pit Stop is set to open May 1, 2021.
