Students went back to class yesterday at Adrian College.  This year, Adrian College students will be even safer thanks to an investment made in the security system.

The school's Board of Trustees spent $500,000 in upgrades and added 100 video cameras around campus.  They also added electronic access controls on each building as part of the upgrade.

Adrian College President Dr. Jeffrey R. Docking tells parents "the second most important thing we do with their kids is to educate them, the first most important thing obviously is to keep them safe."

A total of 1700 students attend Adrian College and this marks the eighth straight year that the freshman class is over 500 students.
