100th St. Bridge Closing Monday, Construction Lasts Until October

100th Street bridge in Kent County will close for construction on Monday, March 23. Construction is expected to end in October.

The Michigan Department of Transportation says the $8.6 million project will rebuild and improve 100th Street bridge over US-131.

The bridge will be closed between S. Kent Dr. and Division Ave. with traffic detoured to Clyde Park Ave., 84th St. and Division Ave.

Traffic on US-131 will continue with traffic shifts and lane closures.

There will be short-term closures with traffic exiting and re-entering the highway using the 100th St. ramps.

There will also be alternating ramp closures with traffic detoured to 142nd Ave. and 84th St.
