ArtPrize continues along with several different festivals this weekend. There are a couple of charity events going on, Sinbad is in town, there is a birthday celebration, free ice cream and more.

The weekend will include many of the favorites of years’ past including the crowd favorites Chili Cook Off, Tractor Parade, Antique Tractor Show, Beer Tents, Live Music, Museum Attic Sale, Rockford Rotary Barbecue, Rockford United Methodist Church Pancake Breakfast, Children’s activities including a Petting Zoo & Pony Rides, Children’s Costume Contest, Coloring Contest, Kid’s Tractor Pull, Movies on the Rogue and Trick or Treating. The Classic Car Show, allows visitors to enjoy more than 100 classic cars lining Main Street. This wonderful car show always features a wide variety of makes and years, including some show-stopping entries.

It's time to raise your stein and say 'prost' - Oktoberfest is here! You're bound to have a good time with all they have to offer: a large beer tent featuring varieties of Erdinger beer as well as other authentic German beers and wines, German food, hot dogs and root beer for the kids, great German bands, and their own Edelweiss Club choir. Don't miss the opening ceremonies on Friday and Saturday, where a rare treat awaits you -- Alphorn players with music that can be heard across mountains. Feeling competitive? Run through the candle-lit woods of Merrill Trails with your headlamp or flashlight. Each mile will be marked by bluegrass music. Once you make it to the finish line, there will be live music and moonshine cocktails for all! This 5K is great for the casual runner/walker and the serious trail racers. Just like our bootleggin’ ancestors, see if you can make it through the moonlit woods to get to the stompin’ grounds, where you can enjoy moonshine cocktails and flatfoot it to live music.

The Heart Walk is a free community event and a vital part of the American Heart Association’s healthy living movement. The event is a fun, uplifting, family-oriented, non-competitive walk. Pets are welcome to walk with you, except on the baseball diamond. This year to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Heart Walk, they have added a 5K Scrub Run to Heart Walk that focuses on those in the community who are saving lives and celebrating the lives they have saved. Those who are walking or running, are enouraged to dress up in scrubs or the uniform of your Heart Hero!
