Actor, filmmaker and author Crispin Glover is returning to the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts for a one-night engagement next month.

Glover visits for a Sunday performance at 7 p.m. Feb. 2 at UICA, 2 Fulton St. West in Grand Rapids.

His performance is titled “Crispin Hellion Glover’s Big Slideshow." The event includes a one-hour dramatic narration of eight of his illustrated books slide-show style; a screening of Glover's 2007 film, "It is Fine! Everything is Fine;" a question-and-answer session; and a book signing. The performance is recommended only for audiences age 18 years old and older.

Glover's independently-made film is about a man who cannot express his sexuality in the way he desires because of his physical limitations.

The 49-year-old New York native starred in 1985's "Back to the Future" and 2010's "Hot Tub Time Machine," among other movies.

Tickets for the performance are $20, and are available in advance online at Eventbrite.

Glover also has performances Feb. 8 and 9 at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Kalamazoo.
