Jennifer Cronin's "Lucky to Have Each Other" is at DeVos Place for ArtPrize Seven. Visitors are reacting strongly to the painting. Some with laughter. Some with disgust. Cronin talks about the painting, the reactions and more.

A team of artists and psychologists are allowing people to symbolically breakthrough issues by physically breaking plates at DeVos Place during ArtPrize Seven. The broken plates are then turned into the ashes of a mosaic which shows a phoenix rising. The ArtPrize entry is titled "BREAKTHROUGH".

This year marks the tenth anniversary since the opening of the DeVos Place convention center. DeVos Place will be hosting a celebration Open House on Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 10AM – 5PM with a variety of fun activities for the whole family. The Open House is free and open to the public. Plus, parking will be free in the DeVos Place ramp, so you won’t have to worry about finding a parking spot.

The 17th annual West Michigan Women's Expo at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids is this weekend.

More than gymnasts will compete at the fifth annual Gymnastics on the Grand this weekend at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids. Carly Patterson, the 2004 Summer Olympics all-around gold medalist, will be on hand to meet with fans and sign autographs throughout the weekend.

Before ArtPrize ends on Sunday, bring the kids downtown to have some fun and experience Matt Elson's "The Infinity Boxes".

Sometimes watching other people engage with artwork at ArtPrize can be just as entertaining as experiencing it firsthand. Dominic Pangborn's "Michigan in Motion" is getting reactions of shock, big smiles, and lots of double takes. "Michigan in Motion" is heading towards the front of the list of early favorites at ArtPrize 2014.
