Dog Story Theater, 7 Jefferson Ave. SE in downtown Grand Rapids, always presents an eclectic brand of theater. It welcomes back Grand Haven-based Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company this month with the classic "All's Well That Ends Well."

Though originally the play was classified as one of Shakespeare's comedies, the play is now considered by some critics to be one of his problem plays, so named because they cannot be neatly classified as tragedy or comedy.

When Helena, the daughter of a renowned physician, saves the life of the King of France, she chooses (as her reward) to marry Bertram, the raksh young Count of Rousillion, who rejects Helena's love and runs away to the wars.

Pigeon Creek's production features actors Steven Anderson, Kathleen Bode, Kat Hermes, Aaron Fram, Sean Kelley, Scott Lange, Janelle Mahlmann, Chad Marriott, Brie Roper, Janna Rosenkranz, Kate Tubbs, and Brenda VanderArk.

Performances are January 9, 10, 16, and 17 at 8 p.m., and January 11 and 18 at 3 p.m.

Tickets are $14 for adults and $7 for students and seniors.

Call (616) 894-1252 for information and tickets.
