So, you thought opera was kind of stuffy and just for adults? Think again! Opera Grand Rapids brings one of Mozart's revered and most whimsical works to the stage for parents and children alike, Friday and Saturday, October 26 and 27, at DeVos Performance Hall.

Sung in English, families will love this comical tale. Bird catcher, Papageno (John Viscardi) journeys with Prince Tamino (Dennis Shuman) through a series of trials to free his beloved Pamina, (Cheyanne Coss) the daughter of the star-blazing Queen of the Night (Jana McIntyre), who is being held captive by the high priest Sarastro (Zaikuan Song).

Directed by the internationally acclaimed Stage Director mes MJames Marvel, the cast will be accompanied by the Opera Grand Rapids Chorus and the Grand Rapids Symphony under the baton of Artistic Director, Maestro James Meena.

For great seats, get your tickets now! Tickets start at $5 for students. Single tickets, from $26, are available online through Ticketmaster, or by calling the Opera Grand Rapids Box Office at 616.451.2741 ext. 3.
