Nala the dog is our special pet of the week.

Andy Rent talked about her on his Andy in the Morning show for Wet Nose Wednesday.

Nala is a seven-year old American Staffy mix. Nala has been with Humane Society of West Michigan since May and is looking for her new home or a foster home! Nala would do best in a home with no other dogs but they would be happy to do a dog meeting if someone does have one other dog in the home. Nala loves gentle children and people and LOVES going on little jogs! Because Nala is 7 years old she is free to adopt. She is also a candidate for their foster program if anyone is interested in caring for her temporarily until she finds her forever home.

According to the American Kennel Club, the Staffordshire Terrier is a confident, good-natured and smart dog. They enjoy daily exercise and is adaptable to almost anything you want to do to provide this.

By the way, the Humane Society is running a special called "I Like Big Mutts" and all dogs 40 pounds and larger are only $100 to adopt until funding runs out!

You can get all the information on the Humane Society website or call (616) 453-8900.
