Saturday was a great day.  In fact, the whole weekend was a weather-winner!  The first of what I hope is many.  Festival was super successful, as was the first Grand Rapids Triathalon.  But that wasn't all.  A group of women were proving that motorcycles aren't just for men.

WZZM-TV 13 reported dozens of female bikers took over Grand Rapids' roads Saturday for the Chick Run Association Ride. Every year, the group organizes the all women motorcycle ride to benefit a charity helping women. This year, they picked Women at Risk International, which helps women and children get out of the sex trade industry.

"We like to stay in Grand Rapids and someone just suggested Women at Risk. So we went down there, talked to the people, very good people, and we thought it was a great charity," says ride organizer Anne Cole.

This was the 13th year for the all women ride. Organizers hope to raise at least $1,000.
