It was so cute, that baby Dolphin was. So cute that everyone wanted to touch it and take pictures. Happy times? Not exactly. This story has a sad ending.

The Washington Post reported this story about beachgoers in an Argentina town who took an endangered baby dolphin from the water last week and passed the animal around to pose with it for selfies.

This, unfortunately, has a sad ending as the baby Dolphin died. Following all the petting and picture taking, the people just left it in the sand. No one bothered to return it to the water.

This certainly hasn't gone over with activists and conservation groups, including the Argentine Wildlife Foundation. They are condemning the incident, which occurred in the resort town of Santa Teresita.

How sad. How selfish and thoughtless.
