Okay, my headline, Does Anybody Work at Target, is a bit facetious, but let me set up this story.

My wife Kathy and I were out shopping Saturday, and stopped at Target for a few things. As we were finding what we needed, I was struck by the fact that I hadn't seen a single  "red-shirted" target employee. At the check out, for sure, but not in the rest of the store and isles. 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit and Scout Salute at Ford Museum This Weekend

Grand Rapids is proud to be hosting the "9/11 Never Forget" mobile exhibit again this year, at the Gerald Ford Presidential Museum.  Beginning today at 2:30 p.m., through Sunday, September 11, the exhibit will be open to the public in the parking lot of the museum. Cathedral of Saint Andrew Hosting Day of Prayer for Peace This Friday

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Grand Rapids is hosting an Interfaith Day of Prayer for Peace to unite the community in a time of racial and political division. The Grand Rapids celebration is part of a national Day of Prayer called for by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. The Day of Prayer will be celebrated across the United States to stress the need to find additional ways of nurturing an open, honest and civil dialogue on issues of race relations, restorative justice, mental health, economic opportunity, and pervasive gun violence.
