I'm back on by "best breakfast/brunch" in Grand Rapids, so Kathy and I decided to try San Chez Bistro, downtown Grand Rapids. Known as one of the best Tapas restaurants in the midwest, who know they killed it for breakfast.

San Chez Bistro has such a wonderful blend of authentic European and Mediterranean cuisine, but I had never tried them for breakfast. I'll be back...again and again.

Check out what I had this past Saturday.

Yep, it's the Fried Chicken Waffle Benedict, with a Belgian waffle, two fried chicken thighs, bacon, maple hollandaise, arugula and two poached eggs. This is a little bit of heaven. I couldn't finish it, so I can't wait to have the leftovers.

Their menu for breakfast/brunch is available everyday and includes so many interesting items, it's difficult to pick. You could try the Omlelets, spanish, or a cuban pork, or salmon, and more. Or how about Shrimp-N-Grits, breakfast empanadas, a casserole scramble with so much in it I don't have room to write it up. But wait, there's more. So much more, you'll have to try it. It will be a delicious discovery!
