Grand Rapids is becoming a real "foodie" town. More and more restaurants are opening up every day and serving delicious, creative food in exciting surroundings. And most are local or regional which makes it even better. But I'm wondering how good are they? Do we have anyone who has a five-star reviewer rating?

What do the locals think of the restaurants in the area? TripAdvisor and Yelp are the two sources you can use to check out any local spot and see what people are saying (reviews) about them.

There are a lot of wonderful choices for all types of restaurants, fine dining, casual, family, and more.

In fine dining, there is Leo's,

They all get four and one-half stars, which is wonderful from reviewers on TripAdvisor, with Yelp awarding four and one-half stars to The Chop House, but not five stars for anyone from reviewers.

There are so many choices in GR and not all at the high price point of the fine dining spots that it's mind-boggling.

So in my quest to find a five-star spot, again based on reviews from customers, I turned to Yelp, and there it was!

It's a spot I have never heard of in a location that's a bit difficult to find as well. However, people are raving about this restaurant with 82 reviews coming in at 4.9! That's a five in my book.

What is this place and where is it? It's The Latin House, on Remembrance Road in Walker and customers are raving about it. They serve South American Cuisine specializing in Colombian, Peruvian, and Argentinian dishes. It's a tough find but looks like it's worth the effort.

What are they saying?

Service was on point, overall a really pleasant eating experience!

What a fantastic find! We absolutely loved the fresh juice which was thick and rich.

I was so excited when I stumbled across this place on Yelp, and it did not disappoint.

This place is a little hard to find since there's no sign, and the one that's there looks like it was for a tanning place, but I'm glad we found it!

This spot is a hidden gem!! If you love South American cuisine I'm telling you, this is the spot!!

There you go, the reviewers have it. Five Stars for delicious, happy dining!
