Have you ever wondered how astronauts live in space? Well, until May 6, the Grand Rapids Public Museum is hosting the "Facing Mars Exhibition," featuring 28 interactive displays that will answer questions that range from performing medical surgeries to going to the bathroom on a voyage to Mars. Really though...where does it go?
With a mix of modern Elle from California and timeless Anne from Green Gables, the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre is prepared to engage and entertain this 2012-2013 season with seven never-before-seen performances and several enduring classics that promise fun for the whole family!
Imagine this: What do you get when you combine rock 'n' roll and 1950s teenagers? Grease? Hairspray? Well, long before any of these timeless classics came around, the scene was dominated by "Bye, Bye Birdie," an Elvis-inspired performance by the playwright Michael Stewarts' story about a teenage rock singer that is inducted in the army.
