Aura is our Pet of the Week on Wet Nose Wednesday

Aura the dog is our special pet of the week.

Andy Rent talked about her on his Andy in the Morning show for Wet Nose Wednesday.

Brooke, from the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Aura into the studios. Aura is a 2-year old, female Terrier mix.

She came to HSWM a week ago as part of a transfer from Tipton County, Tennessee. She is described as calm, but social and currently lives with another female dog. She would do well in a home with older/respectful children.

According to the My Terrier Dog, it is a mix of the terrier dog breed and that really short dog that originally hails from Germany.  It comes in various colors (black, brown, tan). In fact they love to love and be loved, and they really like to cuddle.

Brooke talked about the "Empty the Shelter" event with Bissell Pet Foundation this Saturday, 10/22. Bissell Pet Foundation will be paying the adoption fees for all adult animals (5 months and older) on Saturday. They encourage potential adopters to come in this week and fill out their paperwork and get pre-approved to adopt and then come early on Saturday because they anticipate a line.
