Zip The Grand A Finalist For $5,000 Pure Michigan Jump Start Prize
Pure Michigan's Jump Start Prize will award $5,000 towards one project to help tourism in Michigan.
The five finalists were just announced and includes the Grand Rapids project Zip the Grand.
Zip the Grand would bring a 700 foot long zip line over the Grand River in Grand Rapids. The project is still in the planning stages, but has generated a lot of excitement.
Pure Michigan's Jump Start Prize will award one of the five finalists with $5,000 and a lot of helpful publicity.
The winner will be determined on April 14 - 16 at the Pure Michigan Governor's Conference on Tourism.
Each project will have a chance to present their idea on April 14. A panel of commentators, including Rick DeVos, will give feedback. The winner will be determined solely by the vote of attendees at the conference.
The winner will be announced at 11:30am on April 16.
