"Zip the Grand" would bring a 700 foot long zip line to the Grand River in Grand Rapids.

Approval from the City of Grand Rapids has not yet been given, but appears to be the final hurdle remaining for Zip the Grand.

The zip line would be set up near the Blue Bridge over the Grand River.  Organizers hope to have it up and running in time for ArtPrize this year.  Zip the Grand would run from April - November, with additional dates as weather permits.

Support for Zip the Grand has been growing on Facebook.  They have also enjoyed support from a team of nine advisors which includes: West Michigan Whitecaps CEO Lew Chamberlin and Grand Rapids City Commissioner Rosalynn Bliss.
