World’s Largest Dog Wash is Sunday
The 16th Annual World's Largest Dog Wash is this Sunday, and Fifth Third Ballpark will be barking!
The dog wash has become an annual event since being started by Cody Kropf. Cody was 8-years old when he lost his father to cancer. He became a member of Gilda's Club of Grand Rapids and got the support and love he needed, and he wanted to give back. So, he started a dog wash to raise money for Gilda's Club. They began at Gilda's, but soon out grew the grounds. They teamed up with the Whitecaps, and have never looked back.
Bring your dog, this Sunday, July 1st, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., to Fifth Third Ballpark and the "dog washers" will get your do sparkling clean for only $10, with all of the proceeds supporting the Children's Cancer and Grief Program at Gilda's. By the way, parking is FREE if you're attending the dog wash.
If you want to go to the Whitecaps game that afternoon, you'll have to buy a ticket, but, you can take your dog to the game, too. What fun!
