In our world today, especially in advertising, women seem to be portrayed as sexual objects. They are objectified. Fair? Not fair? Not fair for our lives today.

I have six daughters, and along with my wife, am well aware of how women are pictured today in order to sell a product. We are overwhelmed by ads showing beautiful women, scantly clad, pitching a beer, car, vacation, yes, a golf course, whatever. I look, just like anybody else, but realizing that this is actually degrading. So, what can be done?

A new video is trying to educate people that women are more than sexual beings.

That's easy to say, but hard to do, so, this  NSFW (not safe for work) gets right to the point.

The video, with some rough language, is the brainchild of ad executive Madonna Badger, and was created as part of the #WomenNotObjects campaign. Warning, it's a bit rough.

What do you think? Pretty bold, isn't it.

Full disclosure, Badger, created the popular Calvin Klein ads in the ’90s with Mark Wahlberg and Kate Moss. She says she’s partly to blame for the way things have moved, noting, “If I said I never did it, I would be a liar.”

However, Badger thinks she has an opportunity to change the way the public perceives women. She said, “I want my life to have a purpose….I love my job but I don’t want to do it if it hurts anyone.”

This would make a great at-home discussion, or even at work. I think we need a little attitude readjustment.
