What’s up With The Corner Bar in Rockford

There were a few insurance "glitches" on the road to re-building, but it looks like the iconic Corner Bar in Rockford is on the road to recovery.

Insurance glitches. Gee, that never happens, does it? At any rate, according to a story on WOOD TV8, "the Corner Bar said its insurance company has finally approved moving forward with bracing salvageable walls, which include the building’s facade and about 20 feet of the original building’s north-facing wall."

With that work completed, traffic will be able to move at a pretty much normal pace again, in downtown Rockford, and the big re-build can begin.
