West Michigan got pounded with snow last week.
Grand Rapids and the surrounding areas received about 12"-14".
Along the lakeshore, most areas received 8"-18" and some spots got dumped on with totals around 2 feet when it was all said and done.
Now that the snow is behind us for now, we're starting off the week with some really cold temperatures. In the morning we will have a low of 1° with a high of only 14°.
The cold temperatures expected this week will speed up ice growth on Michigan rivers, meaning ice jams will be possible.
According to the website Current Results, since 1964, Grand Rapids temperatures have been observed at Gerald R. Ford International Airport.
From 1943 to 1962 temperature data was collected in the Godwin Heights neighborhood, south of downtown Grand Rapids.
Before then, the weather station was in downtown Grand Rapids.
