Man, have we been going through stressful times. COVID19/the pandemic, of course, the presidential election, civil unrest, I could go on. Pretty sure we're all stressed to the max. So, how can I relieve some of that stress? Puppies!

Yes, look at puppies.

There is plenty of scientific proof out there documenting how dogs can help lower stress levels. The website Happy Natural Dog says here  are just a few proven ways dogs relieve stress and improve health:

  • Lower blood pressure
  • Improve recovery from heart disease
  • Increase self-esteem
  • Stimulate the release of oxytocin (hormone that promotes feelings of well-being)

And now, you can get paid for watching puppies. WHDH News 7 in Boston reported that a dog food company wants to pay you 27 bucks an hour to look at pictures of puppies. No joke. ProDog Raw is looking for 10 dog lovers to look at pictures of puppies, as part of a study to test whether looking at dogs on social media can reduce people’s stress level. Each recruit will wear a heart-rate monitor as they go about their daily lives, but have to take an hourly break to look at pictures of puppies. You have to have a desk job with no manual labor involved.
