W. Michigan’s Next Movie Star
You never know where Hollywood's next big star will come from. Why not here? I mean Tom Cruise is from Syracuse -- not much different from Grand Rapids. Jennifer Connelly is from the Catskill Mountains. There are plenty of talented people around here.
If you're SERIOUS about acting....the West Michigan Film and Video Alliance invites you to present yourselves to local producers and directors along with your headshots/resumes. They are looking to attract actors to this event who want to build skills, and who will benefit from seeing what is expected of you during a screen audition and one-on-one coaching. This event is not really intended to be a casting opportunity, but it could be a side benefit if you get lucky. Actors will present a 1 minute memorized monologue plus headshot with resume. The entire director panel will give you feedback on what you did that was effective and where they think you need to polish your audition skills.
