Nominations are in and it is time to announce the finalists for the title of West Michigan’s Favorite Christmas Gift Shop!

Christmas shopping could be an Olympic sport. Not everyone can handle fighting the crowds to get the best deals on the biggest sales. Saving money on big purchases is nice, but getting a gift that mean something special is also important.

West Michigan's independent stores offer the unique opportunity to keep your dollars local while purchasing a gift that will be treasured and shows you put some thought into it.

In searching for the best independent store, we've taken nominations from all over West Michigan and have narrowed it down to the top three. One of the finalists has more than one location, but they are all in West Michigan and the company was founded here almost 100 years ago, so they qualify too.

  • Family-owned gift and home decor store opened in August of 2015. Features baby items and other unique gifts for any budget.
  • Antique and artisan market featuring home decor, furniture, clothing, paints, Michigan food and more.
  • Fourth generation candy shop founded by Christ Naum. Naum immigrated from Greece to Canada in 1905, then came to America in 1919 to start Sweetland Candies.

Voting takes place from 12 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, November 16, 2017 until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, November 20, 2017. The winner will be announced at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017!
