Vice President Mike Pence spent part of his first 4th of July as the Vice President right here in West Michigan, complete with an appearance in the Grandville 4th of July parade.

Air Force Two landed in West Michigan around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, according to WZZM-13, and Pence immediately made his way to Grandville to take part in the festivities. The parade, which was slated to begin at noon, started nearly an hour late as organizers waited for Pence to arrive.

Pence was joined on the parade route by governor Rick Snyder and Michigan Congressman Bill Huizenga.
