Unemployed? Go to College On-Line for Free
Free on-line classes from Davenport University? Sounds too good to be true, but it is true. Davenport announced it will offer free career-focused class to people who have lost their jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is great news for those unemployed due to the pandemic, but there are a few restrictions. Davenport said you must have been working full-time and laid off or furloughed since March 1st to qualify for enrollment, according to WOODTV.
It's a seven-week online course that will help students improve their presentation skills, build their resumes, enhance their LinkedIn profiles and earn three college credits.
The course is Communications 120 - Presentation Techniques, and there will be two sessions beginning May 6 and another two starting July 1.
Interested? Why not! What an opportunity. Go online here, or call Davenport University at 800.686.1600 for more information on how to sign up.
