Tuesday storms may get wind gust up to 60 mph which means there may be some power outages across Michigan.

According to WZZM, Consumers Energy are keeping an eye on the storms that are moving into West Michigan and across the state.

The National Weather Service says there are lots to be concerned about today with severe thunderstorms, beach erosion, dangerous swimming conditions and lakeshore flooding are all on tap for Tuesday afternoon and evening.

The storms are coming in two waves. The first storm will slide in around noon and last until 4 p.m. Round two will kick off around 4 and run until 10 p.m. and that is expected to come from the south.

The NWS is also predicting a possible tornado or two during the second round of storms. The possibility of damaging wind, downed trees and power lines will be present. The second storm could produce hail that will be large enough to damage windows and vehicles.
