Will you be on the road this Thanksgiving traveling to family and friends?  If you live in West Michigan it probably will cost you...for gas, that is.

According to Mlive, we could be paying record-high Thanksgiving Day gas prices with the average nudging up 10 cents over last week.

The average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded fuel in the Grand Rapids-Muskegon-Holland combined statistical area is $3.54, up from $3.44 just a week ago.

That's 12 cents higher than the national average of $3.42, according to AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report.  Ouch!

Does it just SEEM that we tend to pay higher prices here in West Michigan than the rest of the state, or adjacent states, for that matter, or, am I just feeling pick-on?

I know that we will be traveling to Indianapolis for the weekend, and when I hit Indiana I can count on prices ten to twenty cents less per gallon.
