This happens every year in Holland and is so darned cute. No, not the Tulip Festival, although the festival does begin today and runs through next weekend. It's "Duck Tails in Holland!"

Seriously, it's a tail of a momma duck and all her little ducklings parading through Holland Heights school, and they do it every year.

Momma duck and kids make their way from the school's courtyard through the hallways of the school and out to the playground. It's such a tradition that all the kids line the hallways to follow the ducks through the school and out to their next adventure.

Students at Holland Heights, this past Tuesday, watched as a momma duck and her ducklings made their way from the school’s courtyard through the hallways and out to the playground and water.

The students get to even go fishing sometimes. They have roller skating parties and so much more.

But, of course, I'm sure the highlight of the entire year is when momma duck hatches here eggs and eventually wants to get here ducklings safely to the pond. So, through the school they go.

Holland Heights isn't the only school in the country that has "duck tails." For instance, there is Prairie Mountain school in Eugene, Oregon.

The same adventure and excitement not only for the kids at the school, but for the ducks. They, the ducklings, find a safe place to grow up, and the kids learn some valuable nature lessons up-close and personal. Nothing better!
