One of West Michigan's longest standing businesses celebrated one of its longest serving employees today.  Brann's honored the man who opened the restaurant on South Division in Wyoming 40 years ago.

WZZM TV13 reported that Tommy Brann opened the Wyoming location when he was only 19-years old.  He says he feels good about his time in the restaurant business because he has created a lot of jobs and remained competitive despite new chain restaurants moving in.  He says it is all about hard work.

"My dad taught me a good work ethic.  I was here seven days a week for a good 30 years and now I'm still here seven days a week.  I treat my place like a baby, I protect it.  If somebody speaks bad about it or politicians do something that's going to hurt it, I speak up against it and I speak up for free enterprise and I think that's helped me," said Brann.

He says he will now take some time to reflect on the past to see where he goes from here.  However, he expects to be around for another 40 years.
