Three Barfly Ventures Restaurants to Close Early Thursday to Remember 7-Year-Old Girl

Three Barfly Ventures restaurants - Stella's Lounge, HopCat, and Grand Rapids Brewing Company - all announced via Facebook that they will close at 3 p.m. on Thursday so that staff may attend the memorial of a 7-year-old girl.

Mackenzie Boyd, the daughter of  BarFly co-founder Garry Boyd, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 10. Her memorial service is being held at the Clock Chapel in Grand Haven on Thursday evening.

At the family's request memorial contributions in Mackenzie's name can be made to the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation.
