Grand Rapids Brewing Company Outdoor Mini Bar Now Open Downtown
Outdoor social zones has been one of the best things to come out of the pandemic. I feel like the addition of them has livened up the city and kept businesses open, and let's be honest, who doesn't love drinking outdoors?!
You may have noticed around Downtown Grand Rapids that some restaurants have even set up outdoor bars for people to order from. Now, Grand Rapids Brewing Company is the latest to open their own "mini bar." Just in time as ArtPrize has officially begun and more people are expected downtown.
GRBC's new mini bar is located on Fulton Ave between Ionia and the Van Andel Arena. According to the brewery's press release,
The outdoor bar features GRBC’s thirst-quenching Silver Foam lager, Fish Ladder IPA, Heltzer Seltzer and a rotating selection of new brews from Head Brewer, Ramsey Louder.
What makes their outdoor mini bar different from the others is that GRBC is actually selling food from there as well. In addition to beers, people can order thin-crust pizzas and walk around the social areas or enjoy them at one GRBC's patio seating.
The mini bar will be open every Friday through Sunday from 5p-10p. A menu of the mini bar will be updated here. All beers will be served in a 16 oz. cup and cost $5. The pizzas are $10, 12-inches round, and you'll have a choice between cheese, pepperoni, or one of the daily specialty pizzas.
A ribbon cutting was held this past Friday to celebrate the addition.
On another note, GRBC is currently hiring. They're offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus, benefits, paid vacation, and more. Kitchen staff pay begins at $17/hour.
