Third Annual ‘Kielbasa Idol’ Is June 1
Want fame and bragging rights on the west side of Grand Rapids?
It's simple. Just make the best kielbasa in town.
Kielbasa Idol will settle this delicious debate when it crowns it's annual champ on June 1.
Kielbasa Idol will be held at Pulaski Park at the corner of Fifth and Davis in Grand Rapids.
Gates open at 4:30pm. Live music starts at 5:30pm. Tasting and judging start at 6:30pm.
Fifth Street Hall and Sixth Street Hall will also be open to the public.
For $5 the public may sample and vote for their favorite to be the "People's Choice" winner. There will also be a judge's award.
Proceeds from Kielbasa Idol will benefit the food pantry at St. Mary's Church on First Street in Grand Rapids. St. Mary's food pantry opened in 2009 and serves about 120 families every day.
