Did you see the Bob Seger concert last week at Van Andel Arena? Fabulous, right? How about the opening act, The War and Treaty? Pretty good, too, huh? Soon, you'll be able to see them up close and and personal when they come to town in February!

The duo powerhouse band featuring Michael and Tanya Trotter, will perform at St. Cecilia Music Center for their Acoustic Cafe series on Sunday, February 24 at 7:30 p.m. The War and Treaty is on their newest U.S. Tour throughout cities in the U.S. through Spring 2019.

Chilling, soulful, and powerful are just some of the words used by audiences to describe The War and Treaty. The husband & wife duo blend roots, folk, gospel, and soul.

Rolling Stone Magazine in August 2018 said of their new album debut release, “Healing Tide”, “Husband-and-wife duo Michael and Tanya Trotter overwhelm with a message of positivity and love…. their gospel-style harmonizes with superb country-soul arrangements and powerful statements of devotion.”

Concert tickets for The War and Treaty are $30 and $30. All concert tickets can be purchased by calling St. Cecilia Music Center at 616-459-2224 or visiting the box office at 24 Ransom Ave. NE. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.scmc-online.org. A post-concert “Meet-the-artist” party with wine and beer will be offered to all ticket-holders giving the audience the opportunity to meet the artists and to obtain signed CDs of their releases.
