The Symphony and Kids Go Together This Saturday
Here is a great, fun way to expose your children to the Grand Rapids Symphony. They can get together with Dr. Seuss and Green Eggs and Ham.
Green Eggs And Ham with the Grand Rapids Symphony is to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday like a zizzer-zazzer-zuzz!. It is a 45-minute concert geared toward pre-school and early elementary school-age children ages 3-7. The Grand Rapids Symphony presents the classic story of Green Eggs and Ham in the style of a fun children’s operetta, and it's at 10:30 a.m. this Saturday, March 3.
With Associate Conductor John Varineau on the podium, the Dr. Seuss classic seamlessly incorporates familiar melodies from both classical and popular music.
Grand Rapids soprano and actress Diane Penning, performs along with Abby Deller as ‘Sam I Am.’
The operetta features a timeless message about not judging others, with symphonic music especially designed to entertain children. For a colorful touch, Grand Rapids Symphony musicians wear colored t-shirts to show their membership in the string, woodwind, brass, or percussion families.
Once again, it's this Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at DeVos Performance Hall
303 Monroe Ave. NW.
Tickets are only $5 dollars, general admission, and no reserved seating. CLICK HERE to get tickets.
